How to Change Your Password in Windows XP
From your Desktop:
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete at the same time and you should get a new window to pop up that looks like this:
Press Change Password... and the window changes to something like this:
Make sure the User name field has your username in it (it will if you have logged in as yourself on the PC).
The Log on to: field should have MCPS in it, if not use the drop down menu to change it to MCPS.
Now type your current password in the Old Password field.
Type your new password in the New Password field
Type your new password again in the Confirm New Password field.
Press the OK button. If your New Password and Confirm New Password fields matched you will get a message that your new password has been set. If they do not match exactly (including upper and lower cases) you will be told that they do not match and you will have to fill in the information again.
That's it. Your new password is set. Now all you have to do is remember it the next time you login to a computer on our network.
